The Allender Center is an institution housed within The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. Its threefold aim is to steward and advance the intellectual and professional legacy of Dr. Dan Allender, to train counseling professionals and lay workers in trauma and abuse therapy, and to provide hope, healing and transformation opportunities through conferences and workshops.
The mission of 1in6 is to help men who have had unwanted or abusive sexual experiences in childhood live healthier, happier lives. Their mission also includes serving family members, friends, and partners by providing information and support resources on the web and in the community.
MaleSurvivor provides critical resources to male survivors of sexual trauma and all their partners in recovery by building communities of Hope, Healing, & Support.
Compass Counseling is a multidisciplinary team of licensed therapists committed to partnering with you on your journey. Our broad range of experience uniquely positions us to come along side you in every stage of life. Additionally, we are a teaching and training site for graduate level interns.
To portray this reality — who we are now, living meaningful and dignified lives — to the many men who may feel isolated and stigmatized by what happened to them. And to portray this reality to whole communities through the Bristlecone web site and public exhibitions, providing positive, hopeful role models of men who have faced their childhood experiences and who learned to live healthier, happier lives.
